Today I’ve got news that’s as smashing as the mace, as exciting as the trial chambers, and as rewarding as the vault. The Tricky Trials Update’s official release date is June 13, which means in just a few short weeks you can play with all the new update features on both Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition!
Discover the trial chambers
Breeze
A breeze is a hostile mob spawned by certain trial spawners found in trial chambers, and the only source of breeze rods. When attacking something, a breeze moves via jumping large distances and attacks by firing wind charges, which deal high knockback. It can repel all projectiles
Bogged
The Bogged is a new skeleton variant with 8 hearts of health that shoots poison arrows at players. It spawns in swamps, mangrove swamps, and certain trial chambers, adding a new combat challenge. When defeated, it drops bones, arrows, bows, and occasionally poison arrows.
The Vault
A vault is a block found in trial chambers. It dispenses loot when unlocked using a trial key. Each vault can be looted by an unlimited number of players, but each player can unlock a specific vault only once.
Ominous Trials & Village Raids
These are new opt-in challenges that make everything much more difficult, but the rewards you'll earn for coming out the other side are greatly increased! For full details on how to trigger these events, and what you can expect within them, check out our dedicated Ominous Events page!
Mace Weapon
The Mace is the latest weapon to be added and lets you slam down and deal major damage to nearby enemies. The Mace has 3 unique enchantments, and are as follows:
- Density - Deal even more damage
- Breach - Penetrate armor of hostiles more efficiently
- Wind Charge - Launches you high into the air after a successful smash attack
Crafter
The Crafter is a new block that automates crafting. By using redstone, you can select a recipe, and as long as you provide the necessary ingredients, the Crafter will produce the item for you to retrieve!
